Texture Technologies has worked with universities and government research institutions to develop test methods and fixtures for quantifying rice and grain products. These methods have often migrated very well into companies that manufacture those products and, as a result, rice manufacturers worldwide have standardized their food product testing using the Stable Micro Systems family of Texture Analyzers. Our instruments have even been used in the development of several enriched rice varieties that have been important advances for world health.

An enormous body of published work exists for testing rice, grain, and packaged rice products. Most textural analysis parameters can be easily quantified with the TA.XT <Texture Analyzers and Exponent software programs and some attributes can only be measured with our instruments. Some of the many parameters that our product testing equipment can analyze include the hardness, stickiness, cohesiveness, crispness and consistency of puffed rice and other rice products.
