Texture Technologies' Annual Video Contest

Video Contest Information

Texture Technologies holds annual video competitions for US and Canadian Universities to raise awareness, through the use of energetic video productions, of the importance of texture analysis to the food industry.

The deadline for this year's submissions was June 3, 2011

The prizes range from $250 to $2,500 as flows: 1st Prize is awarded $2,500, 2nd Prize is awarded $1,000, 3rd Prize is awarded $500, and 4th & 5th Prizes each win $250.

The contest is limited to college and university participants so, while we love what Claussen Pickles did, corporations and food manufacturers are not eligible to participate.

    The 2011 winners were:

  • Kansas State University - 1st Prize (US$ 2,500) - Texture Network Special Report
  • Texture Network Special Report - 2nd Prize (US$ 1,000) - Lil TX

    The 2009 winners were:

  • West Virginia University - 1st Prize (US$ 2,500) - Food Texture Analysis at WVU
  • Brigham Young University - 2nd Prize (US$ 1,000) - Waiting For The Cheese Cutter
  • Kansas State University - 3rd Prize (US$ 500) - The Best Crunch
  • Indiana University - 4th Prize (US$ 250) - A-R-Q-E
  • Oregon State University - 5th Prize (US$ 250) - The Quest For Perfect Texture
  • South Dakota State University and University of Arkansas also received honorable mention and were awarded US $250.

Texture Technologies would like to thank all of the entrants for their energy and creativity and wonderful videos. Collectively, the videos do a fabulous job highlighting the importance of texture analysis to the food industry!
