Texture Technologies Corporation is the exclusive North American distributor of Stable Micro Systems' family of Texture Analyzers, texture measurement instruments, and texture analysis equipment. Our instruments, probes, fixtures, peripheral devices, software, and other accessories are designed for forward compatibility so our texture testing products are easily upgradable.

General Instructions and Information
Exponent software can be upgraded by downloading the latest version from the Stable Micro Systems website by going to the home page and choosing Software Download from the left-hand navigation. Supported operating systems are as follows: Win 9x , ME, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
From Exponent (Win 9x, ME, NT, 2000, XP, and Win7 operating systems)
Simply go to the Window, About TEE32 and follow the link for updates. You will be able to download and execute a file that will only work if you have already installed the previous version of the software on the computer. During the installation it will update all relevant new files (including the help files if you choose the full upgrade)
After the upgrade new firmware files (comms & motor) will be installed into your TA Firmware directory. You may run the TAP Flash program on your software CD to use those files to reprogram your TA.XTPlus if you wish to take advantage of the latest firmware features. Please note that you do not need to upgrade the firmware unless you wish to take advantage of new features.
From Texture Expert Exceed (Win 9x, ME, NT, 2000, and XP operating systems)
Texture Expert Exceed can be upgraded to the Exponent software program only when the texture analyzer is upgraded to the TA.XTPlus Texture Analyzer.
From Texture Expert Software (Win 9x or Win ME only operating systems)
Texture Expert can be upgraded to the Texture Expert Exceed software program. This upgrade does not include a new PCI style analog-digital card.
Texture Expert can be upgraded to the Texture Expert Exceed software program with a new PCI style analog-digital card. This upgrade does include a new PCI style analog-digital card.
Texture Expert can be upgraded to the Exponent software program only when the texture analyzer is upgraded to the TA.XTPlus Texture Analyzer.
From XTRAD Software (DOS based operating system)
The XTRAD software program cannot be upgraded. A customer may purchase the Texture Expert Exceed software program for use with their TA.XT2 Texture Analyzer. This upgrade does include a new PCI style analog-digital card.
The XTRAD software program cannot be upgraded. A customer may get the benefits of the Exponent software program only when the instrument is upgraded to the TA.XTPlus Texture Analyzer.
