A New Flow of Information for Powder Testing
Posted on June 22, 2011
Stable Micro Systems has enhanced its already flexible graphical user interface for the Powder Flow Analyser to include a wider selection of tests and background information.
New users will benefit from a more comprehensive understanding of the instruments capabilities with the addition of enhanced data analysis techniques, results spreadsheets, automatically generated charts and reports and an extensive sample video database.
Whilst experienced existing users of the Powder Flow Analyser and Exponent software will be fully aware of the multi-functionality of the PFA the interface has been simplified and includes ‘Configure Your Own’ test protocols and improved flexibility to create, manage and run user-specific projects. They will benefit from a free upgrade to include all of these new features when downloading the latest version of Exponent via the website (although those wishing to view the videos will require a new version of Exponent on DVD available at a small charge).
Used in conjunction with the TA.XTplus Texture Analyser, users can experience an extensive range of well established testing possibilities such as uniaxial compression with the Powder Compaction Rig, diametral tablet compression using cylinder probes and granule compressibility using a Granule Compaction Rig.
Single particle mechanical strength and progressive swelling/disintegration of granules and pellets also expand the myriad of tests available for samples from powder to finished product.
