Background

This study examines the effect of fiber orientation on the tensile strength of paper towels under wet and dry conditions. Understanding these differences is crucial for assessing performance, durability, and real-world functionality. Tensile strength tests were conducted using the TA.XTPlus Texture Analyzer with Exponent software, a TA-96B upper grip, and a Finch cup. This is the first in a series on the tensile strength of paper products. For the next study in the series, click here.
