Background

This is the fourth in a series of application studies on kinesiology tapes (for the first study, see here). This study examines the lap shear behavior of twelve brands of kinesiology tapes when they were mounted on strips of dry foam. Craft foam was used because the material is flexible, slightly porous and is consistent enough to be used as a model for how tapes might adhere against skin.
