Job Opening for a Midwest Regional Manager

We are currently seeking to hire someone as our Midwest Regional Manager. Responsibilities of this position will be a mix of sales, customer service and training. The position will involve selling our instruments, software, fixtures and consulting services to a variety of industries. The individual will be responsible for developing relationships with existing and new clients and supporting their technical and application requirements.

The Regional Manager will be responsible for attending national and territory trade shows; following up with contacts and leads to pursue sales opportunities; contacting TTC clients & prospects to initiate new opportunities; demonstrating the instrument and software; testing products for clients; training customers on the use and possibilities of the TA.XTPlus family of instruments & software; and conducting installations & training services at client locations.

Texture Technologies will provide extensive training with regard to texture measurement, physical testing and applications support. TTC offers a competitive salary, all expenses, attractive commissions, and a profit sharing plan.

Candidate Skills & Background: Successful candidates will be self-motivated with excellent written and oral communication, extensive sales experience, demonstrated creative problem solving, and strong multi-tasking skills. Five years of past sales experience is important. Computer skills and competency with a variety of common desktop computer programs are also required. It is critical that someone be able to learn our Exponent software program which controls our texture analyzer. A minimum of a BA/BS degree. An aptitude to master physical testing and analysis is critical. Some laboratory experience would be helpful. A valid current driver’s license is required. A willingness to travel from a home office central to the territory is required. Travel will be with an instrument case that weighs approximately 65 lbs, plus other fixtures. The position has many physical demands including moving and repositioning instruments in and out of cars and onto desks.

The Territory for the Midwest Regional Manager is Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Job Opening for a Technical Support Associate

We are currently seeking someone to join our company as our Technical Support Associate! Responsibilities of this position will be a mix of customer support, conducting tests with our instrument & software, working on special projects, and training customers. The associate will work with our Regional Managers, our National Service Manager, and company management to learn how to provide appropriate support for each situation.

Extensive training will be provided on how to run tests and operate our instruments and software, and how to help new and existing customers with any issues that arise. The position will involve responding to customer inquiries (via web/email/phone calls), conducting tests with the instrument, writing test reports and applications, and participating in photo and video shoots.

Texture Technologies will provide extensive training with regard to texture measurement & physical testing issues. TTC offers a competitive wage and covers all business expenses. This part-time position is a combination of remote work, work in our Hamilton, Massachusetts office, and some initial training at our Kennebunkport, Maine technical service center. The position may involve some visits to customer locations. The hours are extremely flexible. The position could become full-time for the right candidate.

Candidate Skills & Background: Successful candidates will be self-motivated, with strong writing and oral communication skills, curious and capable of performing remote customer support by internet (Zoom, Teams, Meet, etc) and by phone. A home office/professional work space is essential for conducting tests and engaging remotely with clients. An aptitude to learn how to conduct physical testing and analysis is critical. Some laboratory experience is a plus. Our instruments and associated kit weigh approximately 65 lbs and the associate must be comfortable moving the instrument to and from their office space.
